Keeping the Peace, LLC is committed to providing professional property division services for families who need assistance with retrieving property. Our mission is to create a safe, structured, and supportive environment that promotes healthy, positive interactions.

All supervisors employed by Keeping the Peace, LLC are trained law enforcement professionals. While serving in their supervision roles, they operate in a neutral, civilian capacity to ensure a non-intrusive and balanced presence during each property division.

INTAKE POLICY

Conference Calls & Background

  • Each party will participate in a separate call to gather background information and establish a property division.
  • No property division can be scheduled until the intake form is submitted.

PROTECTIVE ORDERS

  • If a Protective Order (PO) is in effect, it must be modified to expressly authorize Keeping the Peace, LLC to be present during any property division. The modification must also permit both parties to attend simultaneously and remove any restrictions on proximity or location that would otherwise prevent the division from occurring under supervision.

FEES & HOURS OF OPERATION

Property Division

  • Hours: Mon–Sun, 7:00 AM – 9:00 PM
  • Rate: $167.50/hour Minimum: 2 hours
  • Closed Holidays: New Year’s Eve, New Year’s Day, Good Friday, Easter, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day

Court Testimony & Records

  • Supervisor Testimony/Deposition: $287.50 per hour 2 hour minimum. Supervisor will attend when appropriately subpoenaed.
  • Business Records Affidavit: Email form to rick@keepingthepeacellc.com

Flat Fees

  • 2-hour minimum $287.50/hour., unused fees will be refunded
  • 2 hours  – $575.00
  • 4 hours  – $1,150.00
  • 12 hours TBC/Jury – $3,450.00
  • Mileage:  A $2.00 per mile for a fuel fee will be assessed for any travel to a visitation site, property division, court hearings/trials, or otherwise that is greater than 15 miles in distance from 2490 W. White St, McKinney, Texas.

INTERACTION DURING PROPERTY DIVISION

  • The supervisor is a neutral third-party observer and will not take sides.
  • The supervisors will document all items removed.
  • All firearms must be verified as unloaded prior to handling.
  • Supervisors will take photos of the home before and after the property division.
  • We will not allow any conflicts to occur while performing these duties.

DISAGREEMENT OF ITEMS

  • Items not agreed upon will be documented with photographs by the supervisor.
  • Supervisors cannot physically withhold disputed items or compel either party to leave an item.
  • Supervisors will take photos of the home before and after the property division.

PROPERTY DIVISION REPORT

Following the property division, your attorney will receive the supervisor’s report along with photos and/or video. Reports are typically processed within 48 hours.
